Thanks to everyone who commented on my ASG story

I love how the community works and how people come out of the wood work to share their comments, knowledge and expertise. In March this year I wrote about our experiences with Australian Scholarship Group (ASG) since my husband died. Since then you have provided helpful comments so I thought I need to update you on where we are at. I lodged a complaint against ASG with FOS and our case manager was brilliant but ASG would not come to the recommended conciliation meeting so the dispute has now progressed to the FOS Panel.
In the meantime John Collet from The Sydney Morning Herald wrote an article about this case on December 2nd in the hope of alerting other ASG members to the fact that whilst they may think they have replacement value on their savings plan, they in fact do not. As you can imagine SMH and The Age would not print their stories without thorough checks and this article is the culmination of many conversations J. Collet had with ASG over a period of approx. 9 months this year. If you are interested go to smh.com.au and type in ASG and Sophie Robertson.
As far as I am concerned the matter is now with FOS lawyers and I trust that they will adjudicate with consideration to all the facts before them.
I will definitely keep you posted as there has been an interest in this tale! Meanwhile enjoy the season and remember your loved ones every single day.
