I am a relationship focused recruiter because of you who values peoples time and strives to provide a service. Sophie’s book ‘Secrets to Running a Lucrative Temp Desk’ is an absolute god sent! I was fortunate enough to have been introduced to the book when I was first starting out in recruitment and it has helped me immensely. Sophie’s recruiting technique is simple yet extremely effective and applying it to my role has resulted in much success.

Having worked in recruitment for well over a decade I have attended many seminars and classes on how to sell. It was during Sophie’s Masterclass I found myself going back over some of some of the tools that we often take for granted in our day to day jobs. Tools we’ve used to get us to where we are in our careers and the very tools that we should always pass on to our staff in order to help them succeed.

Rather than tell us all what an expert she was in all things Recruitment, Sophie explained parts of what made her successful and then challenged us to look at the way we do things in order to find improvements. Not everyone has the ability to do this without ruffling feathers in an industry filled with “alpha personalities” but I personally found that Sophie’s delivery style achieved this well.

Hi Sophie. I’m about 9 months into my first solid recruitment role. I run a temp desk and I love it. My manager gave your temp book to me to read, and I’ve just devoured the last word. It has provided me with a lot to think about and things I haven’t yet picked up. I particularly liked your tips on new business development. I’ve taken loads of notes throughout my reading – a lot of the reading took place by the pool in Bali. FYI I’m just about to hit 1000 hours per week, I’m about 900. I have 30 temps.
